Full Job Description

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aimed at improving learner progression.
  • Collaborate with vocational departments to integrate English language skills into broader subject areas.
  • Track and record student progress, attendance, and engagement using digital platforms.
  • Work towards achieving high retention and qualification success rates.
  • Engage with learners' guardians regarding progress, both via email and during scheduled meetings.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes wellbeing and adheres to safeguarding protocols.

  • Ability to embed English language skills in practical, vocational contexts.
  • Highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach to classroom management.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C / 4 or above) or equivalent; a degree or relevant qualification in English is required.
  • A Level 5 teaching qualification is preferred but not essential for candidates with substantial experience., tutoring, teaching, pgce, english
