Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Teacher to provide an intensive and high quality Outreach support service to Torbay schools via planned work with families and children and young people who meet the Mayfield SEP panel criteria for specialist provision. You will work in partnership with schools, families and other agencies to produce a tailored support plan to address the identified needs of children and families and support school in order to improve access to education and learning to meet expected outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong knowledge and understanding of SEN needs and services available.

  • Qualified Teacher Status

  • The ability to engage positively with children, young people and their families.

  • The ability to make decisions and work effectively as part of a team.

  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Be willing to travel within Torbay to provide support to various schools.


  • This is a 1 year fixed term contract, linking with external funding, working 32.5 hours a week.
