Full Job Description
An excellent opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our Chief Technology Strategy Office (CTSO) and help drive our mission of seamlessly embedding technology into the DNA of the business, unlocking innovation and influencing the technology enabled future of our Group. The team are accountable on behalf of the CTO for the technology strategy ensuring it is clearly defined, communicated, delivered and interconnected with the Group Strategy. Here's where you'll make a difference:
- Support the continual evolution of the Group's Technology Strategy
- Support with ensuring strategic business and technology outcomes are achieved through ensuring architectural models and designs are being delivered as part of the Group's Technology Strategy
- Formulate executive content to align decision making on the Bank's technology vision
- Own and drive high profile initiatives to completion across a wide variety of technology and business domains
- Continue to build out the CTO's vision and brand as we embark on the next chapter of our strategy
- Identifying key project collaborators and develops an appropriate engagement plan for both internal and external audiences
- Provide an environment that supports colleagues' autonomy to implement business strategy, whilst remaining personally accountable for delivering on promises
Proven background in enterprise architecture with an understanding of architecture principles and frameworks - Good understanding of modern technology from applications to infrastructure (e.g. containerised micro-services, cloud, API etc.)
- Recent experience of translating architecture models and roadmaps into packages of work that drive organisational change (including strategic core programmes), to improve business outcomes
- Strong intuition for technology and its value to businesses - understanding mechanisms for implementing technology into business planning and execution.
- An in-depth understanding of systems development, change life cycles, best practices and approaches
- Track record of problem solving and navigating complexity whilst thinking strategically on the bigger picture
- Ability to translate business strategy and architecture objectives into delivery work packages which can be used to plan and direct investment.
- Ability to pragmatically balance the demands of delivery projects with the need to maintain the integrity of the target architecture interests of the CTO.
- Awareness of the Regulatory environment - can identify and anticipate future regulatory requirements and their implications
