Our secondary school in Enfield is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. You will support students across multiple subjects, helping them overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they are able to reach their full potential. This role offers the opportunity to work in a diverse and supportive school, making a real difference in the lives of secondary-aged students. Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide academic and emotional support to students across a wide range of subjects, including Maths, English, and Science. You will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, offer one-to-one help with students who need additional assistance, and assist with small group work for students who require extra attention in their learning. Additionally, you will contribute to creating a positive learning environment, where all students are encouraged to thrive both academically and socially.,
- Assist in the delivery of lessons, supporting students during activities and tasks.
- Provide one-to-one support for students who need additional help to understand lessons and complete tasks.
- Help with the management of classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Provide support for students with additional learning needs, including those with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum.
- Lead small group interventions in subjects like Maths, English, and Science, focusing on boosting student understanding.
- Assist students in developing their personal, social, and emotional skills, helping them build confidence in and outside of the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to ensure students are receiving the support they need.
Experience supporting students in a secondary school or similar educational setting. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
