  • Ability to carry out high risk food hygiene / food standards inspections including (A and B) category.
  • Carry out FHRS rescore revisits.
  • Respond to service requests.
  • Investigate food complaints.
  • Investigate infectious disease notifications.
  • Ability to take enforcement action, accurately draft Improvement / Emergency Hygiene Prohibition notices.
  • Monitoring / management of follow up admin and revisit actions where informal and formal action has been taken, checking works in progress, ensuring that the necessary works etc.
  • have been properly executed in accordance with good practice.

  • Qualifications and experience in line with the Food Standards Agency Competency Framework. For example, Degree in Environmental Health, EHRB Registered or the Higher Certificate in Food Control.
  • Able to demonstrate they meet the Core Competency requirements of the Food Law Code of Practice and provide CPD records.
  • Have up to date professional, legal, and technical knowledge to support the operation of the Teams' food safety functions.
