You have an exciting opportunity to be part of our Environmental Health Team within Regulatory Services. be part of a team delivering a quality service to residents, on issues that are often complex and can have a negative impact on quality of life. As part of the Environmental Health Team, you will be involved in supporting their wider activities including nuisance and environmental crime regulations. Environmental Health Officers and Environmental Protection Officers will also be expected to deputise and support the management functions of the Team Leader.

We are now seeking an experienced and dedicated private housing officer to join our dynamic team., We are looking for a highly motivated professional (an Environmental Protection Officer, Environmental Health Officer or an experienced Housing Enforcement Professional), who is skilled in the effective use of our powers under the Housing Act 2004 and the Housing and Planning Act 2016. You must have an excellent working knowledge of private sector housing legislation and proven experience in a housing enforcement or regulatory capacity. We are looking for the person with the skills and qualities needed to make optimum use of civil penalties, rent repayment orders and licensing powers to improve conditions and make a real and lasting difference to people's lives.
