An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council's Environmental Protection Team. We are looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated specialist to lead on the investigation of statutory nuisances and to comment on planning applications with respect to noise, air quality and contaminated land, licensing consultations for Environmental Protection, the inspection of processes under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 and consultation responses to licensing applications in terms of Environmental Protection., We provide a range of great benefits such as an Employee Assistance Programme, an Employee Benefits Scheme, wellbeing support, travel rates at HMRC rates, as well as supporting a range of active Employee Network Groups. The role requires excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work, and a positive solution focused approach to their work. Degree in Environmental Health or Environmental Science or equivalent qualification. Wide experience in the field of Environmental Protection sufficient to take a technical lead role. The successful applicant will work closely with colleagues across other Council departments and external partner agencies.
