Report on key milestones and related benefits to Project Manager and Programme Board

Great Ormond Street Hospital is undertaking a significant Programme of work with the aim of supporting our staff to be happy and efficient users of our Epic EPR. The postholder will use their knowledge and experience of Epic training delivery to play a significant part in one of the projects by leading the transformation of our induction training and converting our current lesson plans into e-learning, with the support of a small team of e-learning producers.

Since the pandemic most of our induction training is delivered virtually and we know that this has not always been the most effective way to teach and new members of staff do not always begin their roles with the Epic skills necessary to be effective and efficient. The aim of this project is to transform the way we train new starters by using e-learning that is delivered in a classroom with 'at the elbow' help from a trainer, followed up by a 1:1 session with a trainer a few weeks later in their place of work., Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) is an international centre of excellence in child healthcare. GOSH is an acute specialist paediatric hospital with a mission to provide world-class care to children and young people with rare, complex and difficult-to-treat conditions.

Together with our research partner, the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, we form the UK's only academic Biomedical Research Centre specialising in paediatrics.

Most of the children we care for are referred from other hospitals throughout the UK and overseas. There are 60 nationally recognised clinical specialities at GOSH; the UK's widest range of specialist health services for children on one site.

We believe our people are the head, the heart, the hands and the face of GOSH. Being part of our team is incredibly rewarding and you will be doing something extraordinary to the lives of the children and young people we care for.

GOSH is a challenging, complex and inspiring place to work. Each and every day our people come together to support each other to deliver excellent patient care, often working to help our patients and their families navigate through demanding processes and difficult decisions.
