Full Job Description

Mind in West Essex is seeking a dedicated Community Connector to engage with and support the mental health and wellbeing needs of people living in Epping Forest and surrounding areas., Community Outreach: Develop targeted initiatives for various sectors of the community, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Partnership Development: Identify and nurture partnerships with organizations aligned with our vision.
- Community Events: Contribute to staging events within the community.
- Supporter Base Development: Grow our supporter network and contribute to regular newsletters.
- Fundraising Support: Assist individuals undertaking fundraising activities for Mind in West Essex.
- Front Line Support: Provide immediate assistance, emotional support, and connect individuals with appropriate mental health services.

Understanding of mental health conditions and recovery model
- Experience working with adults with care and support needs
- Ability to develop community relationships and facilitate wellbeing activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills including Word, GSuite, Excel, and CRM systems
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and prioritize workload effectively, Relevant qualifications in counselling, social work, occupational therapy, or mental health nursing
- Understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Data Protection Act, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act)
- Experience in line management or coordination of people
