Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Programme Support Officer to support their significant and exciting journey towards implementing and sharing an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across the Acute Health Alliance constituent Trusts , Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT), Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH), Swindon andRoyal United Bath Hospital (RUH), The successful candidate will have demonstrable previous experience supporting large digital or change programmes or projects. The post holder will work as part of a busy and dynamic team in delivering an effective programme of work, supporting managers and staff with the EPR programme work stream and project activities. Day to day the work will involve supporting the teams to ensure the portfolio of tasks and projects is planned and managed effectively using PRINCE2 methodology and documentation standards. The majority of the work will be undertaken remotely, but with a requirement to be work from SFT when necessary and potentially travel to other NHS sites when required. You will therefore be a self-starter and used to working with minimal supervision. Main duties of the job Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams across the Trusts the successful candidates will need excellent organisational skills, possess a high level of communication skills, both written and oral, and be motivated to help the teams achieve. The post holder will work under the guidance of the SFT EPR Programme Manager to provide programme and project support on a range of PMO tasks. Support will be provided using standard PRINCE2 and other appropriate project management methodologies. The post holder will provide support in relevant programme management groups, be actively involved with the day-to-day delivery of the programme activities and will manage both programme and project-level documentation on behalf of the EPR programme. Detailed job description and main responsibilities To provide comprehensive PMO support to the AHA EPR programme, working both at an individual Trust level and supporting projects and work streams across the 3 constituent AHA Trusts. Design and maintain a PMO configuration structure, using appropriate tools, processes and techniques, to ensure effective PMO management. Establish and maintain a comprehensive PMO library ensuring appropriate access and confidentiality is maintained across the AHA constituent Trust., Please see attached job description and person specification for full details of roles and responsibilities. - Prince 2 Foundation or comparable project management related qualification, PMQ, or equivalent demonstrable work experience
- Training in use of standard MS Office applications, MS Teams (Sharepoint) and MS Project Desirable Training in the use of clinical IT systems Experience Essential
- Experience of working in a programme or project team
- Experience of managing own workload
- Experience of cross-departmental working within a technical or clinical environment
- Experience either in the management of, or in support of, clinical or technical projects Desirable
