Full Job Description

This is an exciting and varied role, responsible for delivery of our EDI strategy with the opportunity to work across all departments and with a range of stakeholders. As well as delivering internal projects, training and engagement initiatives, the role also has an external focus which means the role-holder works directly with the communities that our police force serves. This is a an opportunity to join a growing team and to make an impact on increasing our workforce representation, improving people's experiences and sense of belonging in the workplace and, involving our diverse communities in how we deliver our policing services.

  • Have experience leading projects and initiatives that have a people-centred impact
  • Have proven experience taking a metrics and evidence-based approach
  • Be willing to spend time build relationships and collaboratively problem-solve with leaders in the organisation and in our communities
  • Skills & Experience To be successful in this role you should: Have experience working in an EDI capacity and have a willingness to develop the depth and breadth of your understanding. Be passionate about all aspects of EDI and be able to communicate key messages in an inclusive, motivational and informative way. Be delivery-focused and able to work across a number of projects and initiatives in order to drive forwards the EDI strategy. Be able to build and maintain relationships, be collaborative in your approach to stakeholder management and be able to negotiate and influence up to senior leader level in the organisation.
