  • event riders - learn LOTS along the way! Friendly vibe, and a small team. Previous employees have gone from limited experience to grooming at 4 & 5 events within a matter of months.
  • Looking to start in Jan 2025 for the successful candidate! 5
  • eventing yard - A select a team of event horses up to 5/competing at Badminton, as well as broodmares/foals.
  • Includes all daily general yard duties which should be completed to a high standard with a fast-moving can-do attitude. Outings to shows/training & learning on the job. Must be competent & confident to help with hacking/fitness work & lunging, experience working on a yard is required. Includes competition prep & potential to groom at internationals which will be taught. Applicants must be reliable and motivated. No accommodation on site. Livery possible. The apprenticeship is based on site full time and no need for sitting in the classroom as plenty of practical opportunities. The interview will be held at the yard for a trial day. If you did not gain your GCSE'S we can support you to gain these whilst on programme. You must be a UK resident in order to apply for this role Woking hours will be done on a rota basis and you will be required to do work a weekend day. Training All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

    A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship. Skills required Previous experience in a yard is necessary - but all aspects of grooming and competition prep/show grooming can be taught.
