Equine Hospital Vet (Internship) - B&W Equine

B &W Equine Hospital is a state-of-the-art equine hospital in Gloucestershire, UK. There are 9 Diploma holders with specialisms in surgery, medicine, imaging, sports medicine and dentistry. We are looking for an additional hospital vet to support our existing intern team over our busy season from 1^st February 2025 for a 6 month period. The hospital has a wide and varied caseload and benefits from cutting edge facilities and equipment. We have a large and increasing number of neonatal cases.

This role would be ideally suited to someone who has completed an internship or works in ambulatory practice but would like further training. An ability to perform anaesthesia is required. The successful individual will rotate with our other four interns through the various services in the hospital, including internal medicine/inpatients, surgery/general anaesthesia, diagnostic orthopaedics and imaging, outpatients and nights. The individual would work one in 5 weeks on a night rotation. There would be the opportunity to write and publish a critically appraised topic (CAT) or case report, if this is of interest. Accommodation is provided; this is on site for OOH work and off site but close to the hospital for the rest of the time.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills and be good at working in a team. The applicant should be eligible for registration with the RCVS.

This is a 6 month fixed-term contract (February 2025 - July 2025). The salary for this role will be £28754 with accommodation fully provided and paid for.
