Full Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Operational Assets Equipment Maintenance team. We are an innovative, challenging, and high performing fire and rescue service where you can make a real difference to public services through the provision and management of physical assets. At Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) we operate and manage a large number of fleet, equipment, PPE and workwear assets to enable the effective and efficient delivery of varied services to the communities of Hampshire and Isle of Wight. As the Equipment Maintenance Senior Technician , you will coordinate and deliver the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Maintenance Team, providing technical expertise and advice to carry out compliant maintenance activities. Travel will be required across Hampshire and Isle of Wight as part of this role. You will be required to drive a company vehicle and must hold a current full drivers' licence. Day-to-day operations of the role include :

  • Support workshop operations
  • Facilitate work allocation for scheduled and unscheduled work
  • Quality assurance and sign-off' of undertaken work
  • Effective management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing
  • Process and procedure management
  • Key communication link between internal and external customers
