Full Job Description

  • Fundamental analysis of equity investments (primarily stock level) to support the investment management of UK Active portfolios

  • Working in a collegiate environment employing a structured investment process

  • Develop and maintain a knowledge of economic, industry and company factors that influence the stock market and individual stocks

  • Possess or attain proficiency in all software used by RLAM; Thinkfolio, Bloomberg, HOLT, Microsoft office. Strong coding and/or spreadsheets skills would be a distinct advantage.

  • Develop a comprehensive technical understanding of equity investment analysis through IMC and CFA qualification programmes

  • Conduct ad hoc investment research projects, most likely including significant amounts of financial data

    High level of achievement at degree level or above, highly numerate

  • Demonstrable interest in business, entrepreneurship and investment

  • Ability to synthesize substantial volumes of information

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and ability to conduct critical analysis

  • Basic knowledge of computer application and proficiency in using spreadsheets essential, strong skills in programming and Excel desirable

  • CFA Level 1 or strong analytical experience

  • Foreign language and/or coding knowledge valuable
