Full Job Description

The role will form an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will

work as part of the ERAS team, delivering effective, efficient and patient responsive service, be responsible for a range of administrative and clerical tasks, including secretarial duties, data administration, producing reports and management of the ERAS intranet site

Demonstrate excellent communication skills: both verbal and written.

Exchange information with patients/carers and staff taking account of any potential communication differences.

Develop good working relationships and liaison between departments and healthcare professional within the scope of role.

Create and maintain accurate reports of patient surveys and feedback.

Liaise with internal and external services to meet individual patient needs.

Access and input confidential information through integrated database in accordance with the agreed policy and procedure.

To contribute to clinical audit and research in accordance with clinical governance.

Demonstrate substantive competence in standard range of IT programmes including Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook and Excel programmes and internet required to undertake all administerial tasks.

To take responsibility for the computer system and back up procedures. To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act within the office systems. To ensure the office e-mail system is monitored and managed.

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated personalities. As service administrator, you will be expected to work with a degree of independence alongside the ERAS facilitators, supporting patients and service.

Candidates must be highly organised and proactive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to plan and manage your own workload in a busy working environment with attention to details and able to undertake a range of administrative responsibilities as required by the service demands.

Candidates must be computer literate and must have sound knowledge of digital applications (Email, internet and intranet), Microsoft Office applications, with excellent typing skills, able to manage Microsoft Excel spread sheets, and its functionalities to create statistics, data. info graphic charts and information.
