Full Job Description

The eRoster Safe Care Lead will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management and operation of the HealthRoster system (including HealthRoster, SafeCare, Allocate Loop, etc.) within the Trust. This role involves providing expert advice and support to ensure that safe and effective staffing levels are consistently maintained across inpatient units and crisis teams, in line with best practices and operational requirements. The post holder also will be having a key role in ensuring the governance meetings and provide training for staff on safer staffing initiatives across the Trust. The post holder will be supporting the safer staffing lead for the preparation and production of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Safer Staffing reports. In accordance with National Quality Board (NQB) guidance, which mandates that all Trusts maintain a robust and transparent clinical report on safer staffing levels, the post holder will ensure that HPFT adheres to these requirements. This position offers flexibility in the workplace and the opportunity to develop key relationships with senior leadership. It also presents challenges, including the need to familiarize oneself with clinical terminology for accurate reporting. The post holder is expected to have a strong understanding of both internal and national e-rostering guidelines.Main duties of the job · Ensure that challenges, good practises, and effectiveness in relation to the management of e-roster and safe care across are discussed and shared across the organisation . · As the eRoster SafeCare Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, performance, and direction of the Rostering team. Lead on the eRostering initiatives which facilitate efficiency gains and/or cost savings for the Trust's Financial improvement plans. Have oversight of management of Health Roster Trust wide, ensuring it is fully utilised and in accordance with best practice., The eRoster SafeCare Lead will be responsible to lead the eRoster team and to oversee the Trustwide use of HealthRoster, Employee Online/Loop, and SafeCare (inpatient units). Further develop & lead on the e-rostering, rostering practices and functionality across all staff groups. The post holder needs to work with Community Nursing team to develop and implement rostering solutions that could ensure safe and effective staffing for the community services. The post holder will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to the team in relation to eRostering best practice and effective staffing initiatives. The post holder will take a lead on projects (such as system development and new modules), delivery of strategy and action plans aligned to the team and be responsible for resolving complex rostering and safe staffing issues. Advise the safer staffing lead , Heads of Nursing, Heads of Services, and other stakeholders on staffing numbers, hotspot areas, and Roster performance at regular intervals. Ensure that there is a robust system for reporting on roster effectiveness, SafeCare compliance, and temporary staffing usage. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to communicate and promote the optimal use of our HealthRoster. Stakeholders include clinicians, management teams, finance and people business partners, senior workforce colleagues. Develop strong links with the Trust's electronic roster software provider (RLDatix) and actively participate in any User Group forums or network opportunities to identify and adopt good practice. Ensure that the Trust's achievements using the RLDatix systems are highlighted and reported at appropriate levels. Be an integral member of the Quality and Safety Team and work closely with the People and Workforce Team to take responsibility for key areas of delivery particularly in relation to ensuring we have the right staff, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time. All staff should comply with the Trust's Anti-Discriminatory Statement, Employee Charter, Trust Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct and Equality and Diversity., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

  • Experience at band 7/8a
  • Substantial post registration experience
  • Multidisciplinary working
  • Proven ability to analyse complex problems and to develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them
  • Proven ability to undertake the challenge of working in an inner city environment and across community and hospital sites
