Full Job Description

  • Provide a reliable, responsive, efficient and economic Estates care service.
  • Prepare, implement and control schemes of reactive/preventative planned maintenance to statutory and good engineering/industry practice, within agreed financial limits and Trust standing financial instructions.
  • Review all service reports and ensure any follow-on action is completed within a reasonable time and record in the CAFM system.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintaining of estate records, surveys and reports necessary to run an effective and safer service.
  • Establish and maintain contracts within the hospital, with contractors, suppliers and statutory bodies as required to provide high standards of estate care.

    NVQ level 3 or above in electrical.
  • Experience of working in Hospitals and on Hospital Infrastructure is essential, particularly with regards to the above-mentioned specialisms within a hospital setting. Acute Hospital experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) and Heath Building Notes (HBN's) etc.

Our Building Services team are looking for an Estates Officer to join the team Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield, Nottingham. The purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of electrical/ mechanical and related systems and service and the promotion of compliance to statutory and good engineering practices. Specific areas of responsibility are reflected on the Mansfield project responsibility matrix and may change from time to time as agreed with the Senior Estates Officer. Typically, responsibilities will include Authorised Person duties with respect to HV and LV systems, Air Tube Conveyor, Telecoms, Nurse Call, Emergency Lighting, Lifts, CCTV, fire alarms and other aspects identified in the responsibility matrix.
