Full Job Description

The recruitment team at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity to join the Estates, Facilities and Capital development as an Apprentice Contract Manager.,

  • Overseeing reports from contractors and raising remedial issues
  • Providing support to the contracts and operational teams
  • Assisting in managing and identifying cost savings
  • Assist in managing contract SLA
  • Review assets - under contract
  • Day-to-day management of some contracts

    UHS offers fantastic training and development giving you the best possible opportunities by undertaking a 3-year programme of training including completing a Commercial Procurement and Supply (formerly public sector commercial professional) Apprenticeship lasting 2 years and then completing in-house competency Trade Awareness & Duty Engineer training lasting an additional year. Eventually leading to a Band 6 Contract Manager and On-Call Duty Engineer., Capable of completing a Commercial Procurement and Supply (formerly public sector commercial professional) Apprenticeship as well as a 1-year Trade Awareness & Duty Engineer internal training programme.
  • Knowledge of Building Services.
  • Relevant knowledge in electrical mechanical or building maintenance
  • IOSH safety qualification
  • Some knowledge of regulations, statutory requirements, and standards, appropriate in the built
  • environment/healthcare
  • Experienced working with contractors or direct labour
