A truly excellent opportunity has arisen with our Estates Operations Team at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM). Our ability to be flexible and innovative in the way in which we work and deliver services that respond to our patients needs has never been more important than it is right now., The University Hospitals of North Midlands is looking to recruit 2 x Estates Shift Maintenance Craftsperson's trained to City & Guilds Craft Level or equivalent in mechanical or electrical maintenance on a permanent basis. You will be keen and enthusiastic working with a skilled team to assist in the provision of a high level of service to a large acute hospital. Your duties will include the day to day maintenance and repair of the various engineering services and equipment on site during and outside normal working hours.

At University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust we know that investing in, supporting and developing our staff has a direct impact on the quality of care that we deliver. Our employees are as important as our patients and the population that we serve.

The salary is band 4 which starts at a minimum of £25,147 per annum, rising to £27,596 over three years. In addition to this, you will receive £3,000 recruitment and retention premium on top of your basic salary for the first 12 months, increasing to 16% thereafter. You will also receive unsocial hours payments and shift enhancements which can typically add up to approximately £7,319 per annum on top of your basic salary, resulting in a possible gross annual income of £39,330 subject to any UHNM or NHS change, hours worked and bank holidays worked.

You will be stationed at County Hospital working a shift rota on a 4 week cycle, but may be required to work at other sites belonging to or serviced by UHNM.
