Full Job Description

The Estates Department are looking to enhance their maintenance team and would like to add a Maintenance Mechanical Estates Officer to their team of staff.
You will work with as an integrated member of the Estates team across a multi-discipline of trades., Responsibility for maintaining Estates equipment, premises and plant.
Provision of specialist and technical advice and ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation and technical memoranda.
Respond to out of normal hours' emergency calls as part of an on-call rota.
Responsible for appropriate input on relevant estate aspects of meeting the PLACE targets and the quality of the patient's environment.
Manage, monitor and co-ordinate planned maintenance activities with appropriate arrangements in support of patient care.
To be responsible for all delegated matters affecting the control, procurement and management of estate services.
To develop and assist in the management of estate staff, revenue resources and stores within the available funding and delegated works ensuring that maintenance, minor works and any delegated capital works meet safety standards, statutory compliance and that activities are carried out in the most cost effective and efficient way either through in-house staff or external contract.
Advise on electrical, mechanical or building and environmental works concerning any problematic areas, non-compliance with statutory or mandatory regulations and risks to business continuity in respect of the estate.
