Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an Estates Technician (Landscapes) to join our busy Estates Team, to deliver a first-class service to Students, Staff and Visitors to the University. You will be expected to work 37 hours per week during a period of 5 out of 7 days as required. (This will include occasional weekends to cover the absence of the Weekend Estates Technician)., The primary role of this position is to operate as a Grounds Maintenance Technician, undertaking a variety of tasks related to the maintenance of grounds both on and off campus. The ideal candidate should have training, background, or experience in grounds maintenance and development. Confidence in interacting with students, staff, and the public, along with clear and accurate communication skills, is essential. A good working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and Outlook is required. While you will mainly work as part of a team, there will be occasions when you will work independently. Therefore, the ability to assess, prioritise Helpdesk tasks, and document actions taken to complete the job is crucial.
