Full Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join our team of Estates Technicians, supporting services across the college to maintain our fantastic campus and create a positive student experience.

Estates Technicians

Working Monday to Wednesday (7am to 7.30pm) plus open weekends across the year

You will contribute to the maintenance and security of cross college assets through routine maintenance, cleaning and security duties.

Key Responsibilities

Key Duties include:

Undertaking maintenance, cleaning and security of all college assets.
Contributing to the safety and security of the campus at times when college management are off the premises.
Contributing to the safety of college assets, students and staff through the provision of first responder services:
- First Aid response
- Security patrols/inspections and response
- Incident response
- Locking up and the setting of alarms
- Testing and operation of alarm systems
- Response to distress alarms
Ensuring routine works schedules, tasks and reports are completed.

Relevant experience in a caretaking and/or maintenance role
Operational experience of working with intruder and fire detection and alarm systems
Ability to undertake basic property maintenance and emergency repairs
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate and communicate in a professional way with staff and the diverse groups of students as well as visitors
Possession of or willingness to undertake relevant training including health & safety, first aid and mental health first aid
