Full Job Description

  • Processing of tender documents, transfer of electronic data to server and printing of documents and drawings

  • Document control, including checking of issued tender documents during tender period

  • Compilation and issue of subcontract and supplier enquiries once prepared by Estimator

  • Compilation of quotation received log

  • Filing of hard copy and electronic documents

  • Preparation of Estimate Workbook, transfer of data from electron source or data entry, copy typing from hard copy source to MS Excel

  • Receiving and making calls for department, handling of queries, arranging appointments etc

  • Chasing subcontractors/suppliers by phone or email to confirm ability to return quotations by due date and time.

  • Alerting Estimator to any potential issues

  • Maintaining and updating company subcontractor and supplier database

  • Preparation of basic MS Excel spreadsheets for quotation comparisons

  • Archiving of submitted tenders

  • Other general office duties

    Sound knowledge of MS Office

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • GCSE grade C(5) in both English and Maths (or equivalent)

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Good time management, with the ability to prioritise work

  • Excellent communication skills
