Full Job Description

As an Estimator, you'll be working within the Building Solutions Team, supporting them in the Estimating of single and two stage bids for existing and new clients.

Your day to day will include:

  • Focused on pricing and winning new tenders and existing framework opportunities for the business. You will be responsible for all elements of the pricing for bids, from modelling the costs and assessing the margins, through to completing bid pricing documents and client presentations.

  • Engaging with the wider team to capture Operational requirements, temporary works, social value and environmental considerations to ensure inclusion within submissions.

  • Assisting with the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post tender interviews and provide data as requested.

  • Obtain suitable market quotations to substantiate the Bid submissions through utilisation of the Kier Supply Chain.

  • Capability of providing accurate cost estimate elements from base principles

    Experience of local authority bidding and capital works clients

  • Experience on working on Bids with a value of £2,500,000 - £10,000,000 +, with varied sector experience.

  • Experience of working under frameworks with an understanding of the differing framework requirements
