Full Job Description

Manage and grow the Marine Interconnect Solutions business in the EMEA region. To manage all aspects of sales and business development for Marine Interconnect products in the European marketplace. Promote European connector/cable assembly manufacturing, increase market share and expand the distributor network whilst maintaining or improving the profitability of the interconnect range.,

  • Establish a detailed business plan for achieving ambitious sales and profit targets in Europe This will include recommendations on the extent of regional manufacturing and supply required to maximise sales and profits in the region.
  • Implement and manage sales tactics, processes and procedures to support the goals and objectives of the organisation & establish strategic business development plans (including market size, customer base and potential partner/acquisition) to achieve these. This effort will include the development and maintenance of monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts & sales plans.
  • Deliver sales targets and develop long-term business strategies for the Impulse, PDM, Omega and Omicron connector and cable assembly product lines.
  • Identification of geographical areas and Industries for development of the Product line:
  • + Develop a market strategy to keep the new presses busy 24/7 + Ensure that PDM is at the forefront of the rapidly developing European offshore wind market business - in particular with the power connectors. + Identify new markets/products that fall within the PDM expertise for encapsulation, moulding and cable design manufacture.
  • Support the implementation of CRM to improve pipeline monitoring, forecasting and performance evaluation.
  • Liaise with sister companies within Teledyne Marine Interconnect to ensure a coherent strategy.
  • Coach and train the Sales team to improve sales positioning to understand fully the functionality and benefits of each product offered with the appropriate value proposition.
  • Identify current and future technical/application requirements by establishing personal rapport with customers and recommend improvements by analysing service applications in customer environment.
  • Establish collaborative, effective and trusting relationships with key internal functions including engineering and production to ensure the free flow of information and ideas.
  • Oversee market research and competitor analysis activities to better understand the customer and the needs of the market, to properly position the company's product/service offerings in an effort to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
  • Provide regular quantitative and subjective market feedback related to the market segments and product lines
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of a media relations and product line branding program for the promotion of the product and capability features in the selected markets and product lines.
  • Support the field sales operation by making on-site customer visits and receiving customers
  • Identify key regional account and customer partnership account targets and develop the strategic marketing and sales plan for each. Participate in direct sales effort to key customers.
  • Direct and focus the day to day business development activities, benchmarks, protocols and sales activities.
  • Develop and recommend new offerings along with the market positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies that produce the highest possible long-term financial returns and market share.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Work with the Site Head of Business Operations on pricing, margins, 80/20 and other key business initiatives.
  • Other activities as defined by the SVP Sales & Marketing Teledyne Marine
  • Reporting:
  • Produce weekly reports to SVP Sales & Marketing Teledyne Marine cc Head of Business Operations (Alton)
  • Generate orders forecast and work with the Head of Business Operations to secure revenue for the Alton site.

    We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins., Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • Knowledge of connector technology, particularly for use in harsh environments.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing company essential.
  • Experience of working as a senior sales or business development manager.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CAD and other software programs as needed.
  • Ability to develop technical presentations and present information effectively to customers.
  • A track record of marketing and managing effectively the introduction of new products and services.
