Full Job Description
The Event Duty Manager will work within our operations team on Come Alive! The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular, which is captivating audiences in our unique Empress Museum in Earls Court, London. The Event Duty Manager should be a meticulous and proactive person capable of working with the team to ensure day-to-day operations of the event run smoothly and efficiently. The Event Duty Manager will have a particular focus on show-calling and health and safety of live events. The ideal candidate will be someone that has significant experience in coordinating and managing immersive or experience productions., Event Management
- Work with Venue Duty Manager and General Management to ensure the venue meets building control, planning and premise licensing requirements.
- Work with all departments to ensure the Operational Management Plan standards are met.
- Ensure show running procedures are safe and follow the OMP.
- Run the event control room and CCTV with show logs/reports.
- Monitor DOT plans in coordination with Producers and General Management to manage show operational plans for ingress, egress and any key high-energy show moments.
- Be able to assume, on a coverage basis, responsibilities for Front of House Duty Manager and Venue Duty Manager as well as attend meetings with HODs as and when needed. Showcalling
- Manage doors opening and site clear procedures using checklists gathered from all departments.
- Manage the operations crew to assist in the safe execution of each performance
- Ensure all teams on site, including outside traders if any, are meeting the OMP requirements (e.g. capacities adhered to, challenge 21 signs, speakers at correct decibels, etc).
- Maintain logs of all accidents and near misses and report to Producers and General Management, when appropriate.
- Liaise with local authorities during emergency events.
Proven experience in venue and operations management, preferably within an immersive or experiential production. - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities, capable of motivating high- performing teams.
- Sound financial acumen with an eye towards cost control.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, with a commitment to ensuring compliance.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
