Full Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Event Supervisor ready to work at one of the most iconic venues in Bristol, M SHED Museum at Harbourside. With the annual turnover of 1 million pounds it's a place where we host many various events! Therefore, we are on the hunt for the person with excellent customer service and leadership skills to be in charge of our catering and hospitality team. If you think it's You, apply today! Overall Purpose of the role is to supervise the performance of frontline catering team members. To ensure all tasks associated with food production, front and back of house services and any general support required with due regard to all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations are carried out. Where necessary ensure frontline teams perform all general duties to support the efficient running of a contract or unit in line with contractual requirements.,

  • To be polite, professional and friendly at all times with customers, clients and colleagues
  • To ensure the highest level of customer care is adhered to at all times
  • To demonstrate a can-do attitude towards individual customer requests and strive to exceed customer expectations
  • Understand and deliver all contractual terms
  • Support your line manager in the effective liaison with the client to ensure the continual development of the partnership
  • Communicate regularly with client (as agreed)
  • Action plans are completed following client satisfaction surveys
  • Promote the unit and act as a Compass Advocate at all time
  • To actively gain customer feedback, passing information gained onto your line manager.
  • To make sure you are aware of, and meet the legal and Company requirements for fire, safety, health and hygiene
  • To report health and safety issues to your line manager, including all accidents and near misses
  • To promote good safety habits and methods of work
  • To assist in the preparation of hospitality as required
  • To always look out for opportunities to develop our service

  • Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
  • Good communication skills in order to be able to liaise with a wide range of team members and customers within your work environment
  • Able to comply with legislation and follow all rules and regulation laid down in the staff handbook and unit policy statements, with regard to uniform, personal hygiene, H&S
  • Customer service focused
  • Team player and can-do attitude
  • Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene
  • Self motivated and able to use own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude

  • Experience of working in a busy environment especially during service times
  • Experience of working in environments involving high levels of customer care (Hospitality/Retail)
