Full Job Description

We're now looking for an Events Assistant to join the AJ Bell team! The successful individual will be responsible for the support and delivery of AJ Bell staff events including pay day socials, seasonal company parties, wellbeing initiatives and charitable activities. The Events Assistant will support with all aspects of event planning, from conception to completion, in alignment with our people strategy and engagement activities. The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Support with the delivery of our annual events calendar to ensure key staff engagement activities and are delivered effectively.
  • Support the project management of all employee event details including (but not limited to):
  • + venue selection, invitations, seating/space planning, logistics, décor, catering and entertainment, audio and visual equipment, supplier management and feedback
  • Managing and overseeing events on the day, including directing event set-up, ensuring all facilities/equipment are in place and effective, welcoming guests, organising vendors, ensuring events run to schedule and any trouble shooting if required
  • Deliver continuous improvement, providing recommendations to improve future events based on feedback and evaluation
  • Deliver all staff events within budget and in a cost-effective way
  • Ensuring compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
  • Maintaining a strong working relationship with suppliers and charities
  • Support the Employer Brand Manager to develop and utilise the AJ Bell Futures Foundation to it's full potential, this includes but isn't limited to arranging volunteering events, promoting it on the Exchange and maintaining strong relationships with our Future Foundation partnerships.
  • Creating fundraising and volunteering activities in line with the companies People Strategy.
  • Ensure Staff events are well publicised on social media, where appropriate, and encourage employee engagement with our social media channels
