We are excited to announce an outstanding opportunity for an Events and Exhibitions Manager in Severn Beach, Bristol. This key role involves driving and shaping our event strategy, planning, and execution to ensure the success of our events. As a highly visible position, the Events and Exhibitions Manager is crucial in aligning our events with our broader marketing strategy, with a focus on lead generation, ROI, brand recognition, and solution awareness.
Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in planning, managing, and optimizing tradeshow, conference, and regional workshop presence. Strong project management and evaluation skills are a must, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities:
-Events Strategy - Lead all aspects of tradeshow presence and events management, including kickoff meetings/goal setting, project plans, KPIs/reporting, event analytics, messaging, design strategy, event promotions and budget management, maintaining the yearly events calendar for Plasma Technology
-External Partner Management: Agency management (exhibit, AV, install, conference, etc.), liaison to the industry association, contracting including sponsorships, exhibit space, ancillary event space, vendors & suppliers
-Events Logistics Coordinate all aspects of event booth planning, including: operational logistics, instrument plans/shipping, staff support/housing, Internal communications, event amenities (food, giveaways etc.), shipping coordination.
-Event Experience - Planning for a positive brand experience for each attendee to effectively communicate key value propositions through the booth experience. Including coordinating booth layouts, graphics & messaging, as well as virtual technology to enhance the experience
-Event Attendee Engagement: Design the strategy to attract interest and interaction with event attendees, including the ability to draw in event floor traffic. Coordinate planning and execution for pre, during and post event promotion through social media and awareness scheduled talks from our attendees.
-Lead and Data Management: Own the process to capture attendee data including: lead capture/qualification, lead routing, attendee data uploads to CRM.
Education / Qualifications:
-A bachelor's degree is preferable, but significant experience is also considered instead.
-5+ years of events and exhibition management experience.
-Ability/willingness to travel worldwide to support events, tradeshows, conferences and regional workshops.
Professional Skills/ Abilities:
-Strong operational and business acumen.
-Highly skilled at project plan development, management, and high-quality execution.
-Understanding of lead capture in the events environment and experience with data to CRM integration.
-Proven experience in coordinating, managing and overseeing exhibition booth services, logistics & implementation.
-Works well in a busy events schedule, results-oriented, and in a deadline-intensive environment.
-Ability to own the event's financial process, including budget mgmt., invoicing, reconciliation & reporting, budget forecast planning.
Personal Qualities:
-Strong collaboration and interpersonal communications skills - the ability to bring teams of people together across departments, functions, and geographies, creating alignment and being able to influence without direct authority.
-Innate collaboration and persuasion skills.
-Highly organized with a strong affinity for detail.
-No job, too big or too small attitude.
-Proficiency at presenting in both small and group settings.
-Highly driven, focused on driving results against business objectives.
-Excellent communication skills in various formats (verbal, ppt, excel, etc.).
