Join Birkbeck, University of London, in a dynamic and rewarding role as an Events and Graduation Manager. This role is integral to the promotion of Birkbeck's unique proposition, helping us meet our global student recruitment targets and secure the future of our undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment, as well as supporting University graduation ceremonies.

As part of an established and effective team within Birkbeck's Marketing and External Relations Department, this role has responsibility for promoting and recruiting students to our unique degree courses, which are taught in the evening and daytime.

As an Events and Graduation Ceremonies Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the ongoing development and monitoring of the University's events programme, aligning and integrating it with the over-arching Marketing and External Relations and University strategies.

  • Deliver a comprehensive series of in-person and online events including: University recruitment open days and conversion events; graduation ceremonies;

  • Working with external suppliers to develop and deliver strategic recruitment event series and experience both on-campus and online., The ideal candidate for the Events and Graduations Ceremony manager role will have

    A thorough understanding of the marketing and student recruitment events within higher education.

  • Strong interpersonal communications skills and presentation skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering successful, high-impact marketing and recruitment event strategies in a higher education environment.

  • A degree or equivalent professional experience.

    Grade 7 of the University's London Pay Scale which is £42,365 rising to £48,424 per annum.
