Full Job Description

Neway is seeking an Events Manager to join our client based with St Helen's Council.

This role is starting asap, working full time, initially till mid January.

The post holder will co-ordinate and manage 2 Christmas events for St Helens. Requires immediate start. The events are 30.11.24 and 07.12.24.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead on all aspects of the development and implementation of the St Helens Christmas events, specifically plans, projects, policies, systems, processes and programmes which support the achievement of directorate and organisational aims and objectives.

2. Lead contract and financial management of all event related activity, including procurement, contract management of supplier contracts and income generation.

3. Liaise with key stakeholders including key partners, community organisations as well as wider support services to ensure effective and safe event management.

4. Complete all relevant event documentation including Event Management Plan and ensure the timely completion of risk assessments.

5. Undertake all elements of the project management cycle as appropriate from initial scoping and business case, to project initiation, delivery, evaluation and lessons learnt.

6. Develop and maintain all relevant documentation, providing direction and support to any Project Boards.

7. Monitor progress against the stated aims and objectives of a range of programmes and projects. Take mitigating action as necessary.

8. Establish and arrange quality assurance processes and systems in line with specific programmes and projects.

9. Establish and manage risk assessment processes for relevant programmes and projects.
