Full Job Description

We are looking for an events Project Manager who will be responsible for the planning and implementation of new and substantially changed immunisation events programme tours including the UKHSA National Immunisation Programme annual conference (NIN25). This involves the coordination of activities across multiple organisations, and you will work with the Publications Manager to bring together expertise, skills and resources to ensure delivery of the programme.

The role sits within the Immunisation Programmes Division which is responsible for the national surveillance of most vaccine preventable infections and hepatitis. Each immunisation programme has a suite of essential publications which must be promoted to health providers and stakeholders across the country. This activity is supported by an annual programme of public health conference attendances and contribution to the agendas of these conferences by the consultants working in the department. This is an ambitious programme tour of up to 40 events per year.

The Immunisation events tour is predominantly face to face events located in towns and cities across England. Attendance in person is an expected part of the role. Travel and accommodation are provided within civil service terms., The annual national immunisation network conference is the highlight to the tour of events. This is a scientific and operational meeting which showcases hot topics, the latest data in immunisation, policy analysis and best practice. It is attended by screening and immunisation teams involved in implementing the national programme. The audience also includes a broad range of members of the health family, epidemiologists, clinical public health experts, leaders and commissioners from across the NHS, DHSC and stakeholders.
