Full Job Description

As an Events Volunteer for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA), you will play a key role in supporting the charity's presence at various events. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending a variety of events: Supporting both community and corporate events to promote the work of HIOWAA.
  • Engaging with the public: Starting a life long relationship between members of the public and the charity. It is as simple as having a chat with them
  • Providing information: Acting as an information source for the public, answering questions, and raising awareness about the life-saving work of HIOWAA.
  • Collecting donations: Engaging with event attendees to collect donations using collection buckets and other methods provided.
  • Assisting with event logistics: Helping with setting up and dismantling stalls, displays, and equipment at events.
  • Supporting volunteer recruitment: Encouraging members of the public to join the HIOWAA volunteer team, helping to grow the charity's network of supporters.
  • This role is ideal for those who enjoy meeting new people, engaging with the public, and supporting a vital cause.

    Good communication skills: The ability to confidently engage with members of the public and answer questions about HIOWAA's work. Friendly and approachable: Being welcoming and personable to encourage positive interactions at events. Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure the smooth running of events. You will also be involved in training other volunteers Flexibility: Adaptability to different types of events, environments, and tasks.
