Full Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Exam Invigilator to join our friendly team and supervise pupils during examination periods on a casual, zero-hour contract. The role will involve the invigilation of individuals and groups of learners undertaking written exams or online tests. The successful Exam Invigilator will be able to work with large and small groups of students in an exam setting, ensuring organisation while instructing exam candidates in the exam hall environment. You will also play a key part in assisting the Examinations Manager/Officer in the preparation of the examination room, ensuring the room meets the exam board requirements. To be successful, you will:

  • Be able to relate positively to all learners, ensuring they are well respected and reassured during a high-intensity environment
  • Be extremely diligent, adaptable and flexible with the ability to overcome the challenges you are faced with
  • Have great communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with all staff members, students and parents/guardians
  • Be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies
  • Be motivated and independent and have high expectations of yourself, always striving for the best
  • You must be able to work between the school hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, during exam periods to cover all exams across the school.
