Full Job Description

Ormiston Park Academy is seeking to expand our bank of casual Exam Invigilators to join our team in supporting students and staff in the administration of school exams. We are a small but growing secondary Academy and our vision of 'Believe and Achieve' underpins all aspects of academy life in our impressive, well-resourced buildings and grounds. The successfully appointed candidate will join a caring and committed body of staff and enjoy working with friendly and enthusiastic students of whom we are extremely proud. The successful candidate will receive full training and on the job support from our existing invigilators. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising students in examination rooms,
  • Distributing and collecting examination papers,
  • Assisting with the set up of exam rooms,
  • Understanding and adhering to safeguarding procedures and exam regulations.
  • This is a casual, zero hours contract. The exams team will maintain regular communication with all invigilators and communicate upcoming exam and mock exam dates in advance, checking availability of invigilators to support. The successful candidate will:
  • Be reliable and trustworthy,
  • Possess good organisational skills,
  • Have the ability to work effectively with students and adults,
  • Have excellent verbal communication skills,
  • Have, or be able to obtain, knowledge around safeguarding children,
  • Have, or be able to obtain, knowledge around exam regulations and protocols.
