EXAM INVIGILATORS Commencing January 2025 £11.44 per hour Hours will be agreed upon based on requirement during internal and external examinations. A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS THROUGH THEIR GCSE EXAMINATIONS Watling Academy is seeking dedicated and reliable Exam Invigilators to join our team to assist with internal and external exams. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about ensuring the smooth running of exams and who can help create a calm and compliant environment for our students during this important time. This is a vital role as we support our first Year 11 cohort through their GCSE exams and prepare other Years to take formal examinations and prepare for our first cohort of Year 12 students in September 2025. Your responsibilities would include:
- Preparing exam venues, distributing and collecting exam papers
- Ensuring that all exam regulations are followed
- Maintaining the security of exam papers at all times
- Working independently, but also within a team Exam Invigilators are required to have strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential. Your attentiveness will help maintain a fair and controlled setting, allowing students to focus on their exams. While previous experience would be beneficial, it is not required as full training will be provided. Watling Academy was judged as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in May 2023 and is a purpose-built 11-18 secondary school which opened in 2020, located within the Whitehouse development on the western expansion area of Milton Keynes. The Academy will have 1800 students when at full capacity. Watling Academy is part of the Denbigh Alliance MAT. The Denbigh Alliance has a track record of delivering academic success in subjects which offer students a real currency to progress into higher education or employment. We consistently outperform the Milton Keynes and national averages in terms of the results our students achieve.
