Full Job Description

We are looking to expand our pool of casual Invigilators to work alongside our friendly and experienced exam teams across all New City College Campuses in the running of public examinations at the colleges. Experience of exam invigilating is desirable but not essential and full training will be provided. This is a casual contact although you need to have good availability between 8 and 4 on at least 3 days of the working week. Flexibility is essential as you may be called in at short notice. Preferred location of work can be discussed at interview. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the examination room is conducive to examination conditions
  • Supervising candidates before, during and after an exam
  • Supervising clash candidates between sittings
  • Preparing exam rooms
  • Distributing and collecting examination papers, scripts &materials from candidates at the start and end of exams in accordance with the JCQ regulations
  • Supporting the Exams Team with day-to-day management of the examinations process

You must be a confident and reassuring presence to candidates while remaining calm under pressure and vigilant at all times. Flexibility and reliability is a must. What We Offer:
