Full Job Description

as an Exams Administrator :

  • Participate in the planning, preparation and delivery of cross-college examinations; adhering to strict and critical deadlines
  • Participate in the planning and support for Exam Access Arrangements, assisting with the implementation of these arrangements and reasonable adjustments for eligible candidates
  • Work as part of a team that manages all aspects of the examinations process including :
  • Gathering and submitting accurate entry data to Awarding Organisations
  • Managing changes to entry data and meeting set deadlines
  • Providing an excellent customer service to students and staff, assisting with enquiries
  • Be trained as an invigilator and allocate other invigilators to examinations; assisting with ensuring invigilators are trained to carry out their duties in accordance with JCQ regulations
  • Participate in and support with exam achievement closedown, ensuring results are appropriately recorded to enable accurate success data to be reported;
  • including the tracking and distribution of exam certificates Work as part of a close-knit team, supporting the wider MI team and workloads at peak times

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths or willingness to achieve within 2 years
  • Administrative experience in a busy office together with front line customer service experience
  • Willingness to learn JCQ and other relevant awarding bodies rules and regulations
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, Excel Intermediate or willingness to achieve within first year
  • Very strong attention to detail and numeracy
