We're seeking an Executive Director of Information and Funding to continually develop and manage robust MIS services to provide access to comprehensive, reliable, relevant and up to date information, analyses and reports. The post-holder will oversee, co-ordinate and manage the work of the MIS department, ensuring systems are organised, managed, maintained and developed.

Responsibilities of our Executive Director of Information and Funding:

Design and implement the colleges Management Information strategy, focusing on the provision and management of high-quality information, supporting the delivery of the strategic and operational plans.
Manage the College MIS function and work closely with colleagues to advise and support in all matters relating to curriculum planning and funding optimisation, using database decision making.
Produce a frequent record of academic related income, including fees and funding related to contract values, budget, current position, pipeline and proposals for meeting shortfalls, across all provision types and support funding.
Manage timely and accurate returns to college stakeholders, including the ESFA and OFS, ensuring the college optomises its funded contract values and is compliant with funding rules and regulations. Provide analysis to SMT on emerging priorities and changes.
Develop, maintain and update associated funding documentation and electronic records, in line with both internal and external funding requirements.
Keep up to date with funding developments within the FE and HE sector, particularly those that may change information requirements, analyse and make recommendations for implementation to SMT and provide briefings for Governors and staff.
Manage budgets against agreed income and expenditure targets, adhering to the College financial regulations at all times with support from the Finance Team.
Oversee the MIS related reporting for any academic subcontracted provision
Develop and implement a robust internal audit and assurance process to ensure the probity of all student based college data
Ensure DSAT, 4CAST, ProSuite and other student systems are comprehensively reviewed, with actions taken to ensure funding claims are complete and compliant.

A degree or equivalent in either Business or an Information Systems related subject or proven relevant professional experience
Have experience of leading management information systems in an FE or HE environment
Have a demonstrable understanding of FE and HE sector priorities and funding
Extensive experience of managing timely and accurate returns to external funding agencies ensuring the college is compliant with funding rules and regulations
Significant experience of curriculum planning and budget building
Experience of developing systems to assist the college in moving towards digital based MIS procedures reducing paper-based processes and unnecessary bureaucracy
Experience of support the quality assurance cycle through the delivery of detailed retention, achievement and equality & diversity data analysis
Strong technical experience of delivering solutions using recognised industry tools
Experience of validating and submitting ILRs

Salary: £60,424 - £65,170 FTE per annum

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
