Full Job Description
This is a new role, working at the hear of the School's development team. The role offers varied, interesting and fast-paced work within a high-performing, stimulating and supportive environment. As Executive Assistant and Development Coordinator, you will relish a job where no two days are alike. You will be highly organised, diplomatic, and have excellent judgement. You will have brilliant written and interpersonal communication skills, engendering extremely high levels of trust from the senior leaders you support and all those with whom you liaise. You will be supporting the Associate Dean for Philanthropy and the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, using your comprehensive administrative skills to manage among other things, highly complex travel arrangements including visas, drafting itineraries and booking flights & accommodation where necessary, organisation of meetings including all logistics, diary management where you will use your initiative to make considered judgements when juggling demands on their time including shifting priorities. You will act as first point of contact for routine development queries and visitors, acting as an ambassador for the development team and the wider School. You will support not only with the routine administrative duties within the team but also with the logistics and administration of events and visits led by the department team and on other development-related projects or programmes as required.
You will have a personable and diplomatic approach to dealing with a diverse range of people, employing tact, a high degree of discretion and initiative. Your approach will extend to including excellent team working skills (both within your own and with other teams across the School). You will have experience of, or an understanding of, working on confidential matters and the ability to display high degrees of tact and discretion. Alongside high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, your strong communication skills will enable you to draft correspondence and presentation materials independently. You will have excellent IT knowledge with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Teams and the ability to learn new systems.
