Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team of executive assistants Oxford Vaccine Group in the Department of Paediatrics as our Executive Assistant to Senior Academics
You will be responsible for high-level diary management and support to senior members of staff, oversight of short-term project and events in support of the broader OVG requirements, providing effective support through great communication and organisational skills.
You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology. The Oxford Vaccine Group has been at the forefront of vaccine development for 30 years, helping to fight diseases of major global importance through research and education around the world as demonstrated by input into almost all vaccines seen within the current UK immunisation schedule.
This position is offered full-time on a permanent contract.

You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and be self-motivated, organised, a great communicator, effective in building relationships and be able to use your own initiative in decision-making.
You are expected to possess detailed knowledge of departmental and university-wide policies and to disseminate this to members of the research group.
You will handle a demanding and varied workload, be able to deal with complex information and work with a considerable level of autonomy.
You will have highly effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and an ability to operate effectively in a demanding and fast-paced research environment.
