Full Job Description

of the police complaints system, plan the strategic direction of investigations and oversight and ensure the effective delivery of all IOPC investigations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to address under performance in the system and ensure effective decision making in critical cases to build public and policing confidence. They will represent the IOPC publicly in the media and work alongside colleagues to ensure one IOPC voice in the complaints system. The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery of all IOPC investigations and will act as a role-model, instilling the IOPC values internally and externally.
