Put your strategic leadership skills to the test and make a lasting impact in Derby City, Derbyshire, Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, and the wider East Midlands Region.
The East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) is seeking a visionary leader to serve as Executive Director of Resources. In this pivotal role, you will shape the financial and operational future of our region, driving efficiency and strategic use of resources as we unlock billions in investment through our devolution deal, driving long-term systemic change.
As Executive Director of Resources, you will act as the Combined Authority's Section 73 Officer leading our Resources Directorate and the wider organisation to make sure our values are front and centre of all we do. You will be a core member of the leadership team creating long-term impact by delivering on our devolution commitments and setting the stage for future growth in areas like sustainable energy and regional innovation. You will oversee our financial strategy, governance frameworks, and the effective delivery of enabling and support services, fostering a culture of continual improvement.
To thrive in this role, you'll need to be an external thinker, committed to delivering the very best for our region. You'll be a seasoned leader with extensive experience in a high-profile political or public sector context. You will be a qualified member of a recognised accountancy body, with a strong background in strategic planning, governance, and risk management. We are also looking for strong corporate leadership experience and ability within the wider Resources portfolio, fostering a culture of equals across professional disciplines and driving forward change.
If you are ready to make a difference and contribute to the inclusive growth and strategic development of the East Midlands region with a passion for driving positive change, we would love to hear from you. Join us and be part of shaping a prosperous, sustainable, and fairer future for the East Midlands region.
