Full Job Description

Mayo Clinic Healthcare in London has a wonderful opportunity for an Executive Health Lead Registered Nurse to join our amazing team! The Executive Health Lead Registered Nurse (RN) supervises the day-to-day clinical operation of designated work unit(s) providing guidance and support to the clinical and support staff to ensure that quality patient or client focused care is delivered. When appropriate, the Lead RN provides professional patient care utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with the patient, families and interdisciplinary healthcare team to meet educational and discharge needs. This individual may assist in high-risk procedures, surgery and/ or provide patient education in specific units. The Lead RN assures that appropriate care is delivered. In addition, the individual supports leadership through activities that include development of staff, teaching, community involvement, participation in committees and research (as applicable). The Lead RN is responsible to supervise nursing practice and support staff as appropriate within the unit and supervisory responsibilities such as staff performance evaluations. The individual may also have clinical responsibilities.

  • Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate degree program.
  • Minimum of two years leadership experience or five years practice experience.
  • Extensive experience in the department's specialty or service line (e.g., Endoscopy, Cardiology).
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Any additional specialty training as required by the work area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate own workload.
  • Friendly and adaptable.
  • Able to work as part of a team and have an awareness of clinical audi, risk assessment/mitigation and clinical governance and have IT competency.
  • Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Must be fluent in English.
