This is a great chance to join Staffordshire County Councils Business and Executive Support Team and be part of a passionate and forward-thinking team.We are a centrally led administrative function which offers high quality business support across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident individual to progress within a friendly working environment. The role is office based with flexible home working arrangements based on business needs., We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic part-time (22 hrs Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) Executive Support Officer with a 'can do' attitude to join the team. You will need to be a flexible and professional individual and able to multi-task with a positive and proactive approach. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • providing a professional, efficient and effective administrative support to Cabinet members and leadership teams supporting them in their official duties
  • effectively managing the diaries and scheduling of meetings for the Cabinet member and senior colleagues
  • taking the initiative and act on behalf of the Cabinet member and leadership Teams to resolve issues
  • supporting the Cabinet member and senior colleagues in dealing with complex enquiries and correspondence from members and officers within the County Council, members of the public, MPs and partners

    We are looking for someone who:
  • is experienced in taking accurate action notes of meetings, some of these being in-house and multi-agency meetings
  • has excellent administrative and IT skills including diary and email management
  • is able to work independently with minimal supervision and enjoys problem solving
  • has excellent written and oral communication skills and able to engage with colleagues at all levels of an organisation
  • has an ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and to manage changes/priorities at short notice
  • Experience in a similar role would be preferable, but not essential
