Full Job Description

The Royal College of Art (RCA) is seeking a highly motivated Exhibition Coordinator to join the School of Communication team for RCA2025. In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of exhibitions and events showcasing the innovative work of students in July 2025. Working closely with Programme Exhibition Leads, Student Representatives, and external venues, you will ensure the seamless delivery of events both on-campus (White City) and off-site.
This role is ideal for an experienced project coordinator who thrives on collaboration, excels at managing multiple stakeholders, and has a passion for delivering exceptional arts exhibitions., + Lead the planning and coordination of the School of Communication's events and exhibitions for RCA2025.
+ Develop and implement processes to allocate spaces and resources equitably across White City campus and external venues.
+ Collaborate with Programme Exhibition Leads and students to understand and prepare exhibition content in advance of installation.
+ Identify and address health and safety, ethical, and logistical challenges, ensuring compliance and smooth execution.
+ Chair the School Events & Exhibitions working group and represent the School's interests at internal RCA committees.
+ Communicate effectively with students, staff, and external venue teams, managing expectations and ensuring timely delivery of all exhibition components.
+ Oversee the installation and de-installation of exhibitions, ensuring all logistical and resource needs are met.

+ Experience of delivering projects within an Arts and/or Higher Education setting.
+ Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders, on time and to brief.
+ Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse audience, including students, academic staff, and external partners.
+ A proactive and independent self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
+ Demonstrable experience working within Arts and/or Higher Education settings.
+ A commitment to diversity, equality, and harmonious collaboration with colleagues and students of all backgrounds.
+ Experience identifying and addressing health and safety and ethical considerations in public exhibitions.
+ Proven problem-solving skills in contexts involving diverse stakeholders.
