Full Job Description

Sage Intacct is looking for a motivated and customer-focused User Experience Designer to join our growing Experience Design team. The User Experience Designer will gain experience in a variety of areas including design systems, complex workflows, and will have exposure to different research methodologies to make sure we are keeping customer needs at the center of our design process. The UX team is part of the Product group and you will work collaboratively with product owners, engineering leads, research, and documentation. This position requires a high degree of self-motivation, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are a must. You are passionate about design, keeping up with the latest design and prototyping tools, as well as design patterns and modern visual styles. You will have the opportunity to be creative, try new approaches and learn quickly from regular releases to beta and live customers. The position requires the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, product-focused environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teams to understand goals and design needs of project.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other designers to create compelling designs that meet the user and business requirements.
  • Quickly create and iterate on designs using conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and click-through prototypes. Deliver clear, detailed, final design specs.
  • Create designs using components from the pattern library. Identify new components as needed and work with the UI infrastructure team to get them built.
  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user centered design process.
  • Influence and evolve design standards and guidelines to improve the overall user experience quality across products.
  • Apply usability heuristics and knowledge of current design best practices to evaluate new and existing features and offer viable suggestions for improvements.
