Full Job Description
This post exists to promote and support co-production within strategy and training developments across Nottinghamshire Healthcare's self-harm, suicide prevention and clinical risk and safety work. The Expert by Experience Lead postholder will develop resources, deliver training, and will support the establishment of a process for reviewing patient and carer experience and supporting co-production in relation to self-harm, suicide prevention and clinical risk and safety.
This post will work closely with the Suicide Prevention Team, Learning and Development and Involvement Teams to embed lived experience and co-production within self-harm, suicide prevention and clinical risk and safety focused work., To support the Trust Lead for Self-harm and Suicide Prevention within the delivery, evaluation, and update of suicide prevention implementation plans and training. This includes classroom and non-classroom based developmental activity to support learning and implementation of learning into practice.
· To support embedding lived experience into training, communications, and supporting materials and resources, and the implementation of self-harm and suicide prevention, and clinical risk and safety improvement plans.
· To participate and support the facilitation of co-production work.
· To attend and engage with trustwide networks relating to suicide prevention and clinical risk and safety.
· To participate in appropriate training or updates in accordance with mandatory requirements and/or individual Personal Development Plans. This includes participation in any training updates needed to continue to train others effectively.
· To work within the provisions of the Trust Health and Safety policy. Ensuring all practices are performed that are appropriate to self and others.
· The duties of the post are undertaken in accordance with Trust policies and procedures and the post holder keeps up to date with these policies., · To support the Trust Lead for Self-harm and Suicide Prevention within the delivery, evaluation, and update of suicide prevention implementation plans and training. Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
