Full Job Description
The People Directorate has a fantastic secondment opportunity for one year to cover maternity leave. The position would suit someone interested in becoming a Programme Coordinator or working towards a qualification in Learning and Development. You will manage the day-to-day administration of the flagship continuing professional development framework and programmes for academic and research staff. Launched in 2021, EXPLORE@Brookes offers a wide range of learning and development opportunities and resources throughout the year, delivered by staff from the Directorate and the wider university. The development foci include digital know-how, teaching, scholarship, leadership development, research and knowledge exchange.
The role-holder will join an experienced and committed staff learning support team. The team provides technical and administrative support services primarily to the Oxford Centre for Academic Enhancement and Development in the People Directorate. The position would suit someone keen to develop and grow in the role as the framework and programmes become more embedded and established across the university. We are based in the Buckley Building, Headington Campus on a Tuesday. Flexible working practices are supported and encouraged. You will have:
- significant demonstrable administrative experience
- experience of organising events
- excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
- the commitment to deploy and continuously develop your IT skills, including managing databases, using social media and virtual learning environments
- the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy team
- a demonstrable track record of improving working practices.
